The "Occupy" movement

Discussion in 'Cannabis Legalization & Law Updates' started by Samuel Caldwell, Sep 28, 2011.

  1. This has the power to bring a real non-violate revolution to this nation. This has the power to wake up the blind and encourage more thinkers to get active. This has the power at the very least to get Cannabis legalized.

    https://www.facebook.com/OccupyTogether

Find your state/city. Join and join the movement.

We, the cannabis community, need to keep this movement lit. This is more important than voting Ron Paul. This is more important than that. This is the citizens waking up the nation.

Then some will say, what does this have to do with legalization, the "Occupy" movement is to punish Wall Street...Yes, but it's the Working Class(Poor/Middle Class) taking a stand...which in the end will make the current politicians become vocal on the issues...or else they will be voted out.

The politicians, current and future, will have to listen to their persons instead of $U.S.D.$.

This has the power to legalize marijuana.

But, that can't happen until YOU, yes you, get active. This is your call to action. Are you going to join or are you going to sit on the sidelines and "hope" for the best?

    - The Cannabis Community needs you to take a stand!

  2. I don't see an Occupy Kansas City. What is it this group hopes to do exactly?

  3. Get the Working Class(The poor/middle class) to wake the fuck up. - Easiest way to put it.

It's to tell State and Federal government that the poor, US, are sick and tired of being ignore and to see the rich/corporations be listened too every time.

    It's a great awakening, the 2011 version.

  4. i can't even convince my family members who have shunned my consumption of Cannabis since i was 12, and encouraged me to take pharmaceuticals.

the real establishment will keep murdering voices of freedom, hard not to be straight hopeless.

the sheeple have been herded well, yes, well indeed..

  5. interesting post. the website is worthwhile reading and it is good that this is about working class representation. direct action is most important. However, only a very small % of the working class and the poor have access to this site, or know about it if they do have net access. The media (TV,newspapers, radio) have no intention or incentive to advocate for those of meager means. They would report on mass actions if they were held. As much as I believe in local (state by state) actions such as those planned by this site/org. I think that a massing of people (think civil rights era and million man march) on the federal lawmakers front lawn would have greater exposure and value.

  6. well its not only the poor who get fucked over by the govt....middle class citizens as well as middle to upper class citizens pay taxes out the ass and are forced into paying a higher percentage because they make more. What is my motivation as a father who works his ass off everyday to make sure his family has a comfortable life gets ass raped each year by the federal and state government on a regular basis. The harder and more money i make the more they fucking take. My family also owns a small business which pays enormous amount of taxes....i am not arguing any of your facts just saying everyone here is getting fucked not just the poor.

  7. Working Class(The poor/middle class)

    ...Stated above.

  8. well i guess i did not explain well enough......For those people who live the American Dream which is less than 1% and want to make something of themselves like Get Ahead financially it is next to impossible to get over the hump without the govt raping you by taking your money you earned.

My father who is a role model for me has lived what i would consider a very Successful life...he is a multi millionaire but works his ass off every day to keep it that way. I do not consider him middle class anymore but he still gets screwed every day more and more by the Federal govt.

We own a family business but pay out at least 1/3 or our hard earned money to the govt and then some. Why would my dad work his ass off for 55 years to just give money away to the govt to be poorly spent on the drug war.

its not just the poor/middle class getting fucked here....EVERYBODY GETS FUCKED here in the USA...land of the Free my ASS!

either way plus rep for posting this.

  9. I think people are more upset about things like GE not having to pay federal taxes last year because of their offshore holdings or however they did it. Shit like that. But I'm over peaceful protest. I don't believe it works.

  10. I agree in full. However I shudder at the thought of what the consequence of acting as my heart desires would entail. Blood was the price payed by our "founding fathers", it was not pretty. Or liberties and our bounty have been stolen no doubt about it, but I fear for the innocents more than I hate the oppressors.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
let the blood of the oppressors water the flowers of liberty

  11. Yes I understand about the big corporations not paying taxes and that is my point in bringing up. Imagine if you worked your ass off starting and running a business wouldn't it piss you off even more paying a third of your small companies gross profit and these big guys get to walk not paying what they should be paying out in taxes.

It's overall unfair across the board I'm surprised this thread has not gotten more attention

  12. My dad's upper middle class and he's getting fucked, so it's basically everybody but people like trump.

I think many citizens are willing to pay high tax rates if it went for the the benefit of the common citizen. (a social health care system, education, transportation systems, social security) rather than offsetting taxes for the very rich and multi-national corporations. Taxes are not a bad thing, they built this country. The problem is who pays them (the Buffett factor) and who benefits (the class warfare of the rich). The thread lack of attention...well most people would rather think about what bud to smoke and what celeb got caught without panties, what I like to call the People Magazine factor.

  14. People need to understand the "Middle class" term is a term the U.S. government created.

You are either Rich or Poor, the "Middle Class" term is to keep the poor that have a bit of money but still struggling happy and content. It's a mirage.

You can't be half right. You can't half do something. There is no middle. It's either yes or no, black or white, right or wrong. -- That is what people need to wake up too.

The Working Class is 99% of this nation. We, you and me, are fighting over the wealth...the Rich, they aren't fighting they are on vacation collecting Millions from us.

  15. Than he's defiantly working class he just makes a lot of money for his work.

  16. I am glad you made this point it really is a rat race and I guess even if u have a million or two you are still part of the rat race if you work your ass off and pay tons in taxes

I couldn't agree more about your "middle class" statement but the poor in this country do live better than the poor in most countries so it could always be worse.

Keep people distracted while we collect all the money...that ia the idea behind all this corruption
