My least impressive lights are consistently outpacing the more expensive ones; marketed as 70 w (drawing about 30 w) compared to the Mars Hydro 100 w. paired with a couple of cheap 100 w blurples
Everybody should be in their final containers by the end of the week an this leading trio will already be topped to see if my normal pattern of training is possible in their smaller homes and reduced veg schedule.
Starting to feel like a real garden again; glad I reconsidered the madness of a run outdoors which gave birth to this wave that should occupy my time until well into Summer.
A little more shuffling around to put the most hopeful players on the field; no complaints from the home office yet.
A pair working in the box with only a Mars Hydro TS600 (100 w) where the other two pictured above have additional units flanking the main source. Struggling slightly after topping but coming to life in the ICU running the 90 w UFO.
Not a bad start for the experiment; had hoped to have things flowering by the end of the month and it appears I'm a week early. This should mean harvest by the end of July (likely sooner). With another six weeks on long hours, if I can sculpt the back up band like these they'll blow this first batch out of the water .
The main event will have the SP3000 tied up until at least the middle of July so all the back ups will have pretty much the traditional 2 month veg.
Short term fix for spatial constraints; shuffled two of the fully flowering gals to the satellite cabinet to allow the fresh faces to ride the lightening. While still possible they will switch out with the other pair on a weekly basis to insure the bird in hand doesn't suffer in pursuit of those in the bush. Previous runs with the genetics that fostered these lean towards the middle of July for a potential harvest date so by then it's likely that at least one of the other boxes will shift to short hours to accommodate the demands of the next wave.
Should be topping this baby in a couple more days; two weeks from seed at this point. The third dual purpose cabinet will shift to flower at the end of the month to allow these to begin their transition.
Maddening that I need to stumble and fumble with all this hardware and scheduling while right out my back door is a yard that could provide far more for far less effort and worry.
