  1. Anyone here ever been to Amsterdam? Planning on going in early march. Early I know, but cheaper, much cheaper that time of year. Any tips? Any good coffee shops you recommend? Should be fun times. :smoking:

  2. the futher you get away from the train station, the lower the price the lower the choice...
that just about sums it up.

  3. ive never been, but a coworker of mine said that he tried all kinds of different places out there cause he was there for about two weeks. Said the same thing price wise, but he said that the weed wasn;t worse the farther you got out. In fact he said the best place he found to smoke was way on the outskirts of town. Some place rolled him a cone that was so resinated that juice rolled down his chin when he hit it. He said he could litterally see his friends eyes glass over as he took a hit. Hey but look around and let me know i want to go one day. Plus try some space cake... i heard it is a trip.

  4. I used to live in Vanouver when I was 3-8. I obviously wasn't smoking then, but I remember it was a beautiful, fun city. I would definitely go back now that I smoke, and probably will soon. For me it's better than Amsterdam because they speak English there (Canadian, but so do I :)), It's closer (and thus cheaper transportation-wise), and I have friends and family there.

  5. As with any town, (and any resturaunt/smoke shop) the best places aren't going to be the ones that the tourists go to. You need to find the shops that the locals go to and frequent often, they know what's up. They know where the good weed and prices are. Also it depends on what kind of environment you want, some places are way laid back and some are more upbeat and stuff. Just look around, ask some locals, and just have fun. Don't fret over if you found 'the perfect shop' just visit a few and if you find one you like a lot make sure to make a return visit :p. Make sure to tip the wait staff too :D.

  6. Hahaha, thanks dude. I'm probably moving down to cali in the summer though. Is Dissection death metal?

  7. Alright, I'll definetly look into it.

  8. I've been to 95 different coffeeshops in A'dam and I have to say I liked Dolphins the best. They have a great chillout room in their 'basement.' When you get there pick up the Smokers Guide to Amsterdam, it has maps and lists every single place.

Also if you want the ultimate chillout spot, rent a bike, bring your weed or shrooms and head to Vondelpark. It is a huge fuckin park with lots of shaded areas with endless streams and ponds.

  9. the dam is the best. i call it paying homage to the holy city. definitely the chuff capital of the world in my words

  10. yea i hopefully will be going there during spring break this year.

  11. me and my girlfriend are going this summer..cant wait. check out this website, it has many reviews and ratings of tons of coffeeshops in Amsterdam, explains how everything works over there and other important stuff. as far as i've heard, Central, Dampkring, and Grey Area are a few of the best. click home then coffeeshops, or check everything else out. it has detailed maps and stuff of the city. have fun.

  12. and if you see a guy/gal wearing a red jacked and handing out free copies of a magazine, nab one, it'll be the kaos theatre group, they give these away to advertise their shows, most are foreigners, living in the Dam, and travelling through Europe to do shows..........on the inside, is a wealth of knowledge that they have picked up, ie a map on the back, of all the coffeshops, and some good local tips, for cheap weed, good drink etc.................ps drink in the Irish bars to get a full pint, as the Dutch sell a pint with a 2-3 finger sized head on it......they claim it makes it taste better..........to me their just holding back on the beer........lol...........and yes the Vondelpark is amazing.........so peacefull...........Peace out...............Sid
