Hey guys I have the 288v2 kit from hlg Was wondering what you think should I add a qb 18 to that or just get 2 of the 96s and be done. I'm looking for improved spectrum
How many boards in your current kit? It has seemed to me that the 96s have really good full-grow spectrum - still want to see how the smackdown flowering goes to see if 288s + 18s (35s) outdoes the 96s for flowering purposes...
2 boards in the kit I'm using now. I'm wrapping up my first grow now and I'm super happy with them I just want to make sure I'm being all I can be
Day 41 from cloner: New 8 mains/plant now on their 3rd node, enough mature leafage to support removal of the last two fans on the previous 4 mains. Here’s what they looked like before leaf removal: After: Take a look at the plumbing system on these:. This is how, if you keep controllable variables in range, you get yuge yields...
Sounds like you currently have 2x288 v2s, (i’ll assume they’re 3000K), and you want to know whether to replace them with 96e s or supplement them with 18/35s. Also sounds like you like the 288s for your grow style. I’d keep them, add an 18/35, and consider co2, rather than get the 96s.... you can always add 96’s in the future, but to get equiv of above you’d also have add a far red puck or two...
All assumptions are correct. I went with the 2 288s with slate 2. The 18/35 has some far red in it. I would still want more?
The 18/35 running full lights on w the 288s will give you the “emerson effect”. M if you also want the “initiator effect”, you would have to run far red ALONE for first 5-15 mins of lights out. Because they have to run ALONE, it would mean that you would need to buy additional far red. I think you prabably get a much bigger yield bump w emerson and co2, than emerson and initiator, but this is just my percrotion based on 1 grow - i have not tested it or know if any scientific study that has. My last grow i did all three. Look up my 48sams grow.
