I don't know if this has been posted, or if any of you know about this piece of garbage that has recently been passed. However, I feel alot of people should really take a look at it, analyze it and then spread the word.

Basically, by this bill being passed we will be stripped of alot of our rights as Americans. Moving on, some of the laws being added are so ridiculous, you might find yourself reading them over numerous of times to even try to comprehend the bullshit they're spewing.

The Military Commissions Act of 2006 is an act that repeals most of the retainers of the Geneva Convention, and opens with a self-congratulatory patriotic diatribe about 9/11 as if to justify the act of taking away the Universal rights of man.

Several points within this allow for the use of hearsay in military tribunals against what have been coined within the Military Commissions Act as an "Unlawful Enemy Combatant" whose definition is so vague that any person (even a United States Citizen) if determined by military tribunal can be held to a military junta. (See section 7(B))

Within these tribunals confessions extracted by torture are valid under the condition that the evidence is first presented to the witness (there are no statements providing the witness with the ability to revoke his statements or to withold these statements from the court). Basically, these people would be revoked of their 5th amendment rights and is in blatant violation with the Geneva Convention. (See 948 r. B)

These military tribunals are held in front of group of appointed judges and a Military judge. Note that within the Military Commissions Act there is a reservation to allow judges to hold court by themselves and find all Hearsay evidence admissable( see 949a.(C))

This bill passed the 29th of September past 12 o'clock. Few people saw it on C-Span, fewer people have read about it in the newspaper, and even on the internet sites like CNBC, Fox, and MSNBC have one liners and blurbs with nothing of the content. Its almost as if the government would like to sweep this out of the public eye. (Senator Mark Foley taking the fall)

THIS ACT IS A SUPREME VIOLATION OF THE CONCEPTS THAT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA STANDS FOR AND A COMPLETE VIOLATION OF HUMAN DIGNITY!

Guys, we really need to get this out on the internet, for the sake of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Geneva Convention, and most of all for the basic human dignity that should be rightfully ours.

So please, read through and discuss. What bothers me the most is that NOT alot of news coverage is being done on this Act. Which makes me wonder...what exactly is going on here. As well as the fact that, my feeling is this bill might have been passed to protect the U.S government from further abuse or further details being revealed about 9-11, such as the truth.
