i was listening to the song, STONEDDDD out of my mind. and i listened to the lyrics real close trying to piece it together. and i could not, possibly because i was baked, or more realistically because the song is so damn confusing. does anyone know the actual meaning of the song, or at least have a decent interpretation of it?
yeah its about slamming coke, or meth. whenever you inject an upper theres an overwhelming rush of the senses. light and sound mainly. ex: "blinded by the light", "ridin that train".
upon further research, i found that a lot of the song had to do with bruce springsteens (the original writer of the song) childhood in NJ. there are literally direct connections between him, nj, and his life there. considering some of the lyrics, i dont believeeee (i could be wrong) that the entire song is about blowing back lines of coke haha
It should come as no surprise that the best song Springsteen ever wrote was actually performed by someone else.
