I love October, temperatures going down a bit, nice and comfortable. Even get a spot of rain. And lots of trimming to keep us out of mischief.
Bah a moment of stupidity on my part there. Three of my plants are only 1 or two weeks away from harvest... wahooo!
Well Im not as lucky as you fly because well my window of harvest is from here on to oct 14 since the firs frost will be a killer on my plants. Also the east coast of Canada is getting so much rain its dissapointing, 1 day of sunshine and 2-3 days of rain, no wonder my plants arent putting that much weight on. Luckly no bud rot or mold yet even with this wet september behind us now... M-J
that's what i'm dealing with marie-jane, 1 day of sunshine, 3 or 4 of rain... we had to cut down 4 plants already from bud rot...i hope the rest can make it.
Sorry to hear that DuskyDingo. I'm using natural light but growing in shelter. I'm having to deal with smaller amounts of light too, seems to be stunting their growth :S
I find it a particularilly tense time myself each time I must tend the outdoor grow the riskier it is, private planes were hired by the local cops to grid search the area and the national guard choppers armed with FLIR equipment fly right over my grow WEEKLY Ive seen the choppers finding other grows in my area and it makes me a little weak in the knees , But they havent found my stealthy little plot & buds are all fat and sweaty looking but the pistils are still creamy white, so I sit here with nothing else on my mind.
Yes, I too love the month of October, not only b/c of the harvest but the weather and campfires that come along with the cool weather. The buds I have harvested look and smoke great, the buds that have been curing longer r a treat . I still have one more to go but she is so big, and full, can't wait to see the yield on that bute. N.E. Good tymes. JOE>
Jaaa, Oktober is best, because of harvest and the cool weather here in the north, United States. But i personally like it because i look at it like this.... I pregame all oktober with smoking copious amounts of ganja and dreaming everynight of Oktoberfest! Which is actually in November, if you didn't know that. Ganja, thats some buggy sheit your talking about with the choppers, i think there may be similar activity in my area, but then again it could just be because sikorsky aircraft is only a few towns over. Where my old man works. He says the N.E. is straight, theres not any choppers for that here in connecticut, maybe up north more near NY but thats it. I hope hes right -Zee_Baron
