The Lone Wolf 09

Discussion in 'Outdoor Grow Journals' started by Jamrocknw89, Jun 9, 2009.

  1. I wasn't about to grow this season because I'm moving at the end of summer but a little surprise inspired me. I buy my bud from a medical patient friend and the weed is always good. I've never had any seeds from this weed but the other week we found one lone seed inside one of the nugs. I was amazed cuz it was a perfect lookin seed sittin inside this fat sparklin nug. I've done some guerilla operations in the past but now that my parents are pretty chill about me smokin weed and all (they even know that I will grow it eventually and have asked me a few times if I had any plants out in the garden) I decided to plant and see if I'm lucky enough to get a female from this med seed.

    I planted on 6/03/09.
    It sprouted today: 6/7/09

    Will post pics tomorrow.

  2. This is day two:

It will get all day direct sun. I'm loving it's purplish stem and darker leaves, I just hope those colors are natural.

  3. i have never seen purple on such a young plant. Good luck and hope its a fem

  4. The weed it came from had little hints of purple in the buds too. But yeah, I definitely hope its a girl.

  5. Looks like the color of Rhubarb. I like! Have you discussed the possibility of you growing medicinal with your parents yet? I want to say that you have that option in Washington but at the moment:smoking: i cant remember. lol. I have had some wicked good hash lately and it seems to be messing with my short term memory j/k. Im jealous that you can grow outdoors right now- i hope to a have an outdoor organic setup oneday!

  6. I'm gunna be talkin to my friend's dad about that. He has a medical card and everything, I'm gunna see if he'll help me out with all that. I'm sure if my parents figured out I could grow it legally for patients they would gladly agree.

Here's some new pics. I got another seed and decided to plant it too. I decided it wouldn't hurt to give them a little camo with the grass. I've been keeping them watered with a few ice cubes throughout the day so that as they melt, it slowly drips into the soil.

  8. I like the ice cubes- good idea and you can even make nutrient filled ones if the cold temps dont affect the nutes????????????

take a look at new pics!

  9. Looking good! The ice is unprecedented I think. I hope it doesn't get the roots too cold... Probably won't now that it's hot out. Good luck!

  10. UGGGH! So the other day, the baby one got demolished by bugs. Sprayed both of them that night with some soapy water. They seem to be fine now other than one missing a few leaves.

  11. I've always heard cold water will shock the roots an d stress the plant.

Try taking a gallon jug and putting a small hole in the cap and a slit on the bottom end and letting it hang near your plant or simply put it in the ground. It's like a ghetto drip system

  12. Lol, I did exactly that last year with one of those big ass water barrels! Works pretty good, I might do it again but modify it differently for wherever I decide to put it in the yard.
I might have to move it because it's not in a "safe" spot. It's only a matter of time before it's tall enough for the evening walkers and joggers to see it.
I'm not that worried about the ice cubes, my plant is lookin good.

PS- My parents are totally fine with me doing this now and even support my plan to become a medical dispenser or whatever you call it.

  13. Nice plants.

    Keep it up.:)

  14. Yeah, stem looks strong already, nice genetics.

  15. What up man- how they lookin?

  16. Well one of them is doin slpendid. Transplanting to the 5 gal bucket today. The other, which was attacked by bugs early when it sprouted, has recovered but is slowly progressing. Pics tomorrow people! Stay Tuned! :hello:

  17. Here they are!

About 1/4 Steer manure, 1/4 compost, 1/2 potting soil:

I decided to give the other one to my friend who has an indoor grow closet. I'm already trying to decide where I can safely hide one plant from peeping eyes, two plants will be harder. My friend and I are grow buddies so I will still be able to check up on it. I'm really stoked for the one that I am keeping though. When I transplanted it, the roots were already creeping out of the bottom (after two weeks). Should do excelent once it starts gettin all the compost nutrients. Thanks for tha feedback.

  18. P.S.- yes, there are drainage holes in the bottom. The only thing I'm workin on is a way to kind of camo the bucket a little. Any suggestions?

  19. Hey, so here's a question. I was smokin in the garden again, and as I was lookin up, I remembered that my plant is under a fir tree. I know how acidic they can make shit around them but do you think it would stay good if I keep the grass layer over it to guard it from needles etc?
I will also probably go out there and try to remove some of the tree's debris from the pot.
