First of all guys, this thread is meant to debunk the myths associated and those who consider Israel an "apartheid state" or a state living on "stolen" land. I am not up to debate with ignorant and uninformed people who quote sketchy Youtube videos in order to prove their point, nor do I want to deal with those who scream "Zionist propaganda" at every chance they get.

    So here we go:

Myth #1: Israel was created on stolen land:

Behind the Balfour Declaration: Britain's Great War Pledge To Lord Rothschild

Balfour Declaration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Myth #2: Israel is an apartheid state:

Why Israel Is Not an Apartheid State - The Daily Beast

Israeli Apartheid? « The Real Jerusalem Streets

The Case for Israel | Stanford Israel Alliance

Myth #3: The West Bank is occupied territory:

Six-Day War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia aea9-8208fa746442

So basically, the Arabs are saying "we were going to launch a strike against Israel from three fronts but you (Israel), won and took land during the war but now we want it back so we are calling it occupied territory, even though it should be called disputed land.

    Six Day War - 1967 Arab-Israeli War

    Other, less prominent issues:

Palestinians are innocent civilians being killed by the IDF:

Bad URL - Digital Collections Systems - Campus Guides at University of South Florida Libraries

    Cheers guys!

  3. i know nothing of israel ..
  4. You should take the time to educate yourself on what goes on in both sides of the conflict. It will really change your point of view, as it did for me.
  5. Israel is a Rothschild creation. Lead by zionists. Jfyi you do not need to be Jewish to be a Zionist.

  6. Thanks for the unnecessary input

Btw, what do you call someone who supports America, or say China, because that would be the equivalent of what a Zionist is....

    This. Haha

  12. Well you clearly stated at the start of the OP that you didnt want to hear my side of the argument so I just summed it up in a nice zesty package for you.
  13. Cool. I totally recognize the sovereignty of Israel. I do not condone the United States being Israel's muscle.

If I had met someone recently who lived in a hostile area, and I gave them money and weapons to support himself, and the hostiles who never were hostile against me figured out that I was providing support to this person and they decided to kill 3,000 of my family members with airplanes, I would no longer provide support to this person, as it is not in my best interest and because I think I have more of an allegiance to my own family than I do with someone who I recently met.

I hope this analogy makes sense.

  14. For the record, in the 8 or so wars Israel has been involved in, the US has never stepped in to help.

  15. That's a start.

  16. ooooohhh... So when we gave you tanks and jets, that wasnt us stepping in?

But how much money has the USA given to Israel for defense and for how many years? Wouldn't be fair if the USA paid for Israel's military AND had to fight their wars too.

Here's what Americans paid for and that's just a small taste.

    Iron Dome
    other sources say,
Either way, it's a fuck ton.
  18. Maybe he means American boots on the ground. I don't know as I haven't looked into the 8 wars in any depth. If America gives them tanks jets and whatnot I would consider that as America fighting by proxy. Which a lot of superpowers do.

  19. Several decades now. A large part of the money has been in the form of subsidies for US made weapons. In return, Israel's world leading R&D based economy develops many different types of inventions and technology for the US, so it's not just a one way street.

What is your opinion on the US handing out aid to hostile nations such as Egypt, Pakistan, Sudan, etc?
