Or, more likely, it's big corporations.. They pay for politician's campaigns and other things and in return get the politician to agree to pass laws in their favor once he is in office. There is no huge master illuminati plan.. just a big cycle of corporate and personal greed. The government is just made up of people; weak, greedy, and because of it easily corrupted.
