So I had surgery at 1pm for my left ring finger because I had broke a tendon. *pics* In the surgery they basically took out cartilage on my top joint and fused some bones together and put a metal rod. Before the surgery, everything went pretty normal. The doctor came in and asked me a bunch of questions and then he took me to the OR. In the surgery they basically took out cartilage on my top joint and fused some bones together and cut a hole on the top of my finger and thread a screw threw there I woke up and I was still dazed and confused from the anesthetic and I looked at my hand. I saw that my left ring finer AND my left middle finger had bandages on them. I was too messed up to realized what happened so I just figured it was collateral damage or something So I'm sitting here pissed as hell because the doctor said it was irreversible. FML Edit: I also woke up at 5 instead 2 so I was confused even more
Er, how? Well, I'd say from the looks of it, Doc started surgery on the wrong finger. Doc then realized he fucked up, but a bit too late to stop. Doc then went on and fixed the right finger. Pretty straightforward lawsuit if you ask me (if it went down this way), but you're likely going to have to prove how this fuck-up has negatively affected your life over the course of the next 5 years, which is roughly the amount of time you're likely to wait until your court case comes up anyway.
I just can't bend the top part, that permanently fused... But I can still bend the bottom joint Well the doctor came in while I was still out of it because of the anesthetic. He came in and basically said that they did the middle finger instead of the ring finger. He didn't tell me why or how, he just kept apologizing.
