The Herd misses the point in most cases involving legalization issues

  1. Everyone discusses legalization as if it were a good thing and at one time a long time ago so did I, I'm all for decriminilization of the growing, possesion and use of marijuana in almost all cases no matter what they may be, however legalization brings with it too much responsibility in fact far too much for our government especially those of the democratic origin who not only believes that legalization is a possibility, but when they talk about legalization the first words out of their mouths are taxes, regulation upon regulation, "CONTROL", "CONTROL" and how they start drooling at how many different ways of collecting revenues to pay for all their damn pet projects that we don't want or need in most cases. So for me I'd rather see them not be able to punish or control anyone who may use pot instead of watching my favorite pastime be turned into the goose that laid the golden egg. Trust me if they had their way it still would be just as hard to find and afford as it can be now, and it also would become so much more expensive because of all the things they would tax it for that before long a $200 oz would sound as odd as the $20 oz does to those of you that started after 1976. Personally, I find it damn hard to believe that our government and legislator could keep their GREED MONKEY off their and ultimately OUR BACKS. i love getting high and have for almost 30 years now but all I would just like to be able to enjoy itwithout Barney Phife snooping around or us having to pay off all their dreams etc. with our hard earned money for our beloved Hobby, smokin and tokin. If you don't believe me next time you hear one of them mention legalization listen to the next words they say usually, "THINK OF ALL THE TAXES WE'D BE ABLE TO COLLECT" OR WE'D BE ABLE TO BALANCE THE BUDGET IN NO TIME.

  2. Taxes only come into play when you BUY weed, I would grow my own. Sure, even if that didn't become legal, the punshment would sure as shit be less harsh.
