    The seed looks a little tilted higher in the rooter when I got home than I placed it so it's a promising sign of tap starting to poke. My germ method is rapid rooter style plug with root growth stimulator added. Place a 2 pellet layer of hydroton. Center plug and backfill to plug top. Place basket in bucket with water level 1/4" below basket bottom. Let sit for 12 hours to soak. Add seed to plug if plug is moist on top. I have the extra room in the basket to fill if the seedling stretches too much. I've done 5 seeds this way wit 100% germ rate...so why change:confused_2: We all have our preferred methods. I just don't like the Idea of disturbing the seed in that initial growth period. Too much chance for damage placing it into a plug. Soil might be a different story.

    Just checked in on her. There's a little white stripe in the hole now over the seed.:D Gotta get that CFL on her when she breaks the ground. NO stretchys.:p

    Tootsie is my bff. I hijacked her account earlier. Were in a rich hood. Its cold so were following in a warm van. I've been eating chocolate since we started ;-P
