Many years ago, Someone told me this. He told me not to say anything and to think about it. Never answer it aloud but to yourself. Truly to yourself. To Be honest and open. And to figure it out… It took me a while to understand. But he’s right. The question is: who or what is ‘the devil’?
I believe it references hiding evil under the guise of good. "We are oft to blame, tis too much proved, that with devotions visage and pious action, we do Sugar over the devil himself "
Did you eat any Easter Sunday? Gosh, I ate at least 6 of those bad boys myself through out the day/night.
I did indeed. The wife made a double tray of them and I ate 4 that day and a couple more at dinner not to let them go to waste. LOL. BNW
I think smokinP is on the right track. I think I’m correct stating that in the “religion” of Scientology every individual is “satan”. idk anything about Scientology and I’m not claiming to, that’s simply what I heard someone say about it. I know that I’ve broken 9 of the 10 Christian commandments and arguably I’ve broken all 10. as I recall there wasn’t a devil riding shotgun with me encouraging me to do bad things - it was all me. as your friend and mine, Flip Wilson, would say, “the devil made me do it”. so, I’m guessing there’s a little bit of truth both in smokinP’s and Scientology’s theory.
Freedom of thought is extremely important, and religion is opposed to that, so I give it thumbs down.
I mean even someone like Hitler doesn't deserve eternity of burning in hell. Hitler maybe deserves to burn in hell for 1000 years for each life he took, but not eternity, that some sick af Kim Jong-un x 1,000,000 type shit.
