good list of newer rappers..but we need to start adding Chance the Rapper and Vic Mensa..theyre next up watch. and idk if this was brought up..but as a fan of more underground, less mainstream stuff..i enjoyed Nothing Was the Same
I keep hearing about Chance and I think it's time I gave him a listen. Tell me your favorite songs by him Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Rap is getting lazy and overplayed and pretty fuckin redundant. The 90s was the last golden age of rap now it's bubblegum filler for the masses of high school yuppies in the suburbs.
it is kind of funny how rappers like 2 chainz were the same ones I was laughing at as a kid on shows like All That and Mad Tv, now these are the same rappers people like because they like "fun music"
i agree, Chance is bringing something new to the game and i'm actually interested to see if his style goes big. You also need to add schoolboy-q to this list of newcomers.
There are so many good artists out now, more so than the 90s but people don't realize it because there are also so many more shitty rappers that are overshadowing people because they are mainstream and what young kids want to listen to. I'm not gonna lie, I love listening to Wiz, Rocky, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross, Big Sean but I also love some Pac, Big, Nas, Em, Kendrick, Cole, Immortal Technique, the list goes on.
