The Election Industrial Complex vs. Democracy

  1. One thing is very clear from this years election races, and it is the most disturbing news. The truth, in American politics, is now and forever dead.

It was killed by a corporate bullet of money, that bought the liars, that bring the misinformation and spread it with glee, taking donations that do nothing but fatten the wallets of the liars, and keep any honest men from being able to get their voices heard.

With unlimited spending on campaigns, comes unlimited fundraising, which results in a never ending cycle of blame and propaganda wars, sides that will not co-operate for fear of losing donations, and an industry of FALSE PATRIOTS who dress and act the part, but who are really just trying to keep us fighting ourselves, so that they can play us like cards.

The rhetoric in this year's campaign slogans, is so childish and arrogantly one sided that it would make even a nazi cringe with embarrassment at the intellectual vacuum it implies in the directed audience.

How dumb are we to put up with this shit? I'm all for free speech, but when corporations can buy unlimited airtime, there should be an automatic fact check done on what they want to say, at least.

Propagandists for profit are only going to get worse, so become numb now, and remember to be skeptical of all points of view, when taken alone.

Please, god, let this election be over.

  2. yea, the first step is getting money out of politics. Thats the first thing we need to accomplish. Its something almost all of us can agree on regardless of ideology.

  3. I think every 4 years we see them stoop to new lows.

Just curious but why is it "The Election Industrial Complex vs. Democracy"? We are talking about in the USA right? It should be vs Republic or vs liberty or something other then a form of Government that our forefathers warned us against.

  4. I'm not sure what the hell we are, were, or ever could be, as far as labeling the political process goes.

But we now live in a country where over 1 billion dollars is the new price of occupying the White House.

I'm pretty sure the founding fathers were against spending more money on 4 years rent, than the building is actually worth.:D

Nothing nice comes from deep pockets these days.

  5. Considering the relative short history of the US political system, it sure has taken a pretty significant nosedive in a very short period of time......I shudder at what it will look like in 20 years, and it's probably less.

  6. It's pretty bad when Russia is sending in observers to make sure our elections are legit.
