  1. So I got a Doors 2 cd greatest hits album for christmas. Never really been into them, but recently I started listening to them, and they are fucking amazing! I put both cd's on my ipod, cause they're just too good not too. Great for when your high too. :hello:

  2. I love listening to the doors, just really good music to chill to. So much going on in the songs that you have to listen to, plus Morrison's voice is entrancing.

  3. The Doors are utterly amazing. There's nothing i love more than Peace Frogs, such a great song. and i love the trippiness of light my fire and riders on the storm.

  4. Led Zeppelin.. Most Godlike group of artists.

Sorry for hijacking your thread man.

But I love the Doors as well.

  5. I like The Doors because they were different. Total psychedelic rock, plus they were fantastic musicians too. I don't like Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane as much because I think they took too much acid and didn't make music of the same quality.

I like Led Zeppelin a lot, just not their blues stuff. Same reason the Rolling Stones bother me.. I don't want to hear some rocking Brits doing covers of decades-old blues songs.

  6. BTW definitely a good start, but all of The Doors' albums were really different. I like their first one (The Doors) the most because it's just some chill psychedelic rock, (The End...). They kindof got into 70's blues rock later on... a lot of jamming,

  7. There definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite band. Their music is so powerful yet relaxing, it just pulls you in and for me is entrancing. In my opinion its great to think to as well. I own the perception box set and I listen to it pretty consistently.

  8. Hey, nice to see someone else getting into the Doors, dude. If you liked the best of the obvious place to go from there is aquire a few other albums. I'd definately recommend getting a couple of studio albums, I'd suggest going for the albums with the songs from the best of that particularly stood out to you (or alternatively you could downloading the discography like I did ;))

I'm not sure which is my favourite album, I love all of them. At the moment tho I'd have to say its between LA Woman, Waiting for the Sun, and Alive She Cried.
