Followed along in here for a long time and have always seen some great advice - finally posting for the first time - for some advice. Single plant, first time - did a lot of research but here’s where I’m at now. Buds seem to be filling in nicely , I think I’m around week 6? Maybe 7 at the most of flowering / lots of yellow leaves tho - should I be doing something to try and fix or just roll onwards , also should I pluck the ones that are fully yellow?

Growing in the ground , but dug a 2 foot deep by 2’ by 2’ hole, and filled with FFOF soil, surrounding soil has a fair bit of clay , but grew hydrangeas with pink flowers - which puts it in a good ph range anyways. For feeding I used FF grow big and big bloom during veg (half strength once a week) and didn’t start until week 5 (due to FFOF already being loaded with nutrients) and during flower big bloom and tiger bloom (half strength , once a week) however the last 2 weeks due to some rainy days I’ve only been able to feed once (and that was a few days ago). Plant was topped and fim’d and had some serious stretch during flowering up to 6.5 feet tall- I was told it was GG4 but not confirmed - basically someone gave me a little dying plant growing in the bottom of a plastic coke bottle and said - want this? I said sure I’ll give it a go lol
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

  3. you can pluck the yellow ones if you're bored, otherwise they'll just fall off naturally on their own. I would just roll with it and let the grow finish out over the next couple weeks.

  4. Welcome to the City.

A bit higher feed in late July / early Aug gives the plant better nitrogen reserves for flower. The yellowing fans is the plant moving mobile N to keep building buds. Remove when they start to dry and go brown and pluck off easily. Part of it is just end of life fade.

2 biggest threats outside are Powdery Mildew and Caterpillars.
High PH water:: 1 tablespoon per gallon of water either Potassium Bicarbonate or Sodium Bicarbonate for the PM.

BT Thuricide for the caterpillars. Apply weekly.

  5. Thank you for the input - I’m totally addicted so I will probably end up plucking some after staring at it for hours haha

  6. Thank you! Should I still run with another week of flower nutes , or am I close enough to just use water from here on in? And yes I’m very nervous about powdery mildew and bud rot - we have been getting a fair bit of rain lately. I try to shake the plant off as best I can after rain and in the mornings at well - I’m also nervous to spray with anything as I’ve heard it can affect the buds flavor. As for caterpillars haven’t seen any in this garden ever, even before growing but I’ll keep my eye out!

  7. They could take another juicing as they still have some bulking up to do from what I can see.

The high PH water is tasteless being just.... Water..

BT has a off putting chemical smell when mixing and spraying but it is destroyed by sunlight in 2 days or less and leaves no residual smell or taste on the buds. If you have moths at your porch lights you'll have Caterpillars in the buds. Butterflies seen hanging around the cannabis are suspects as well. Both the orange and white ones as well as the moths are trouble. Running a bug zapper nearby will help.

I had to destroy 5 pounds of good quality buds 10 years ago from my outside grow when the Caterpillars infested it. Talk about heartbreak.

  8. There is a sweet spot between fertilization, stage of growth, cannabinoid production, and biomass yield....

Increased fertilization may lead to bigger buds but with lower cannabinoids... of course this point is dependent on so many other variables...medium, lighting, plant health, etc...
