Hey GrassCity! This is my second grow, I wasn't planning on posting it on here but decided to anyway. So I don't have any record on what I've done or when, but I can tell you I started with 2 seeds from an old friend of mine who said they were 'strawberry kush' seeds from an outdoor variety he had grown and seeded. They were fat, healthy, brown beans with nice stripping on em and I germed them using the paper towel method. The seedlings were then placed in rock wool until rooted then into sure to grow medium like I used in my last grow. I bought a new 15 gallon Rough-Neck Rubbermaid and attempted to build an Aeroponic mister out of a submersible pump I picked up at my local hydro shop and pvc that I planned on getting from Home Depot, but the Home Depot only had a very small selection of pvc And not what I needed at all; so I bought a Rain-bird sprinkler line to use with my pump until I could get around to getting pvc elsewhere. It seems to be working fine but I need to get around to bulding the aero mister to improve my root health. I'm using (4) 42Watt; 150watt equiv bulbs in standard clamp lamps along with the 2foot T5 lamp with 2 bulbs from HTG supply that I used in my last grow, I started the grow in the corner of my closet with black/white polyfilm thumb tacked to the wall kinda like my last grow but I ordered a nice 2x4x6 grow tent about 2 weeks into flower. These photos here were taken about a week into flower once the female preflowers started to develop on both plants.

Here are some more flower pics up until today which is end of week 7 from seed, week 5 of flower. Can't wait to get my 600watt HPS W/ cool tube to bring on some serious buds. These are too wimpy and small for my taste.

  3. Here are some fresh Budporn pic's of the day... CFL's don't seem to be cutting it for these girls, I should be getting my 600Watt HPS cool tube with inline fan and carbon scrubber later this week so stay tuned for some major growth once I get that installed! Kinda quiet on this thread.. No blades have any questions or comments for Nanook?

  4. I just got my 600watt HPS Cooltube. DANG IS THAT THING BRIGHT!!! So I got my vent ducting UPS yesterday, then I got the lamp today and set it up and I'm hoping to get the centrifugal fan tomorrow. Because the lamp is way hot without circulation. Anyways check it out

  5. love fellow floridean growers. what strain are they?

  6. Hey JFlow, thanks for joining! Im not %100 on the Genetics of this grow since I got the beans from a friend who called them "Strawberry Kush" but I dont really trust that fact... seems like a sativa Dom strain tho. cant wait to see the weight that this HPS packs onto these girls!

  7. You'll notice a huge difference bro, I love my HID I'm actually going to get another 600 today and run mixed spectrum (1 hps 1 mh) throughout the entire grow

  8. Ya I checked out the link in your sig. Looks great man, I hope Mine will look that fat and juicy :p

  9. I was surprise with autos and their possibilities to say the least bro, I'm going to give it a proper 7 day dry in the box with the fan then straight to cure.

  10. Yeah I've always been a bit leery of those autoflowers myself, I figured that the ruderalis bred into the plant would really decrease potency and change the body of the smoke of the finished product. Have you tried smoking an auto yet?

  11. yea, just pulled down a pyramid seeds auto purple.

  12. After only 2 full days under the new HPS Cooltube you can start to see the difference. Im still waiting on my fan+filter combo in the mail so the temps are kinda high, in turn were seeing some canoeing of the fan leaves closest to the lamp but nothing major. I've been meaning to take clones but I need to get some more extension cords, does anyone know whether its ever to late in flower to take clones or can I pretty much take cuttings right up through harvest?

  13. Nah, you wanna try to catch them in the beginning stages of flower when they stretch. A few pistols is ok and no big thing but you can't really clone something that has a bud, you'll herm your plant. The window that I try to catch them is usually a few days after the first week of flower.

  14. Some nice phatty nugz budzpornz

Today I built a new sprayer for inside of my reservoir using pvc and 360 sprayers. It works, but unfortunately my 120 GPH rated submersible pump is too small to really pump pressure thru this sort of rig, so the 360 sprayers aren't spinning to fling the water there just kinda dribbling water out... I ordered a new pump rated 375GPH which I should receive Thursday, that will get the hydration rocking so ill take some pictures of how the reservoir is set up then.. For now just enjoy these pics of my plants, they are really starting to thrive now for the first time after recovering from the intense heat of the Cooltube before the cooling system.I just got a thermomiter/hygometer when i got the fan so i dont know what they were before but Temps have been ranging from 70-90 degrees with humidity ranging from 30%-50% throughout the day. I can only imaging before the fan and ducting my temps must've been 100 degrees at least. Probably more, it's a miracle they survived in it!
