I'm sure that stress could also be reduced in vegged plants by switching to 12/12 gradually, the way the Sun does. Reduce the light period and increase the dark period by 1 hour per day until 12/12 is reached.

BTW...I'm not bashing 12/12 from seed. I actually have 2 young plants that I started at 12/12 - 1 Royal Hash & 1 Afghan both from marijuana-seeds.nl (Planet Wax). I'll post some pics and join the thread. Great info here!

 

so.. does it all depends on the strain and light? coz i see plants from 14g to 2.5 ounces, and very small plants compared to some trees,

These 3 were 12/12 from seed. Bagseed and ended up with 7.5 oz dry from the 3.
