  1. Anyone try this? I haven't yet but apparently weed that's high in THCA rather than normal Delta 9 THC is federally legal and is similarly potent (I think about 87% as potent per THCA vs regular THC). Might be worth checking out if there's some good deals for it out there.

  2. Hell dispensaries sell itWhen it burns it goes thc. Its the same. A loophole. I am sure the big heads know about it all ready.

  3. THCA is just the fresh acid form of regular d9 THC. THCA is non-psychoactive and decarboxylates into d9 THC when heated. Most typical weed strains are predominantly THCA, with trace amounts of THC, until they are smoked/vaped or cooked into edibles. Some just happen to have THC levels so low, they are technically considered hemp, at least currently.

  4. problem is the people are cryo curing weed prematurely before its matured and ready for harvest in order to pass the 0.3% THC levels and only have THC-a on there ... ther are others who are just drying it quickly for re sale but have it tested a month before harvest so the levels of THC are not there as may be the case with fully matures plants ready for harvest.
but there are lots of places selling THC-a flower and diamonds, badder etc.. online and legally to boot .. just a couple of hold out States still consider even that illegal even though the 2018 farm bill makes it legal

  7. Exactly the same here with the D8 and now A. I’m just wondering if they come down on the plants can I say “nah man, that’s THCA”? I see this stuff get trashed daily but when jail is an alternative.

  8. I went down to the corner and got a vape to try with no complaints here. I got a disposable that was a bit pricey but I wanted to make sure my credit card would be clear too.

  9. no tests in the police car are for THCA levels ... the tests aggressively decarboxylate THCA to thc for the arrest ... even green tea leaves will pop a false THC positive !!!

this is where I'm at now ... Gilded extracts and Bulk distillates ...I use refillable SPRK 3 - prtbl 510 flo ceramic carts and make my own blends ... here is the base blend mostly - HHC, D9 THCA diamond distillate ( Dr Ganja) and added CBC .....

  10. I really need to give HHC a try. Does gilded carry edibles at all? I might swing over to hc8 and see if they have some.

  11. I only buy bulk now and make whatever I need from that .... cannaclear has some great HHC sauce that is terpene blended, Gilded does not have that unless in single carts they pre make etc and I am not sure at all on the edible scene, sorry bout that ....
HHC is like a warm blanket of security, no other way to explain it really ... the minor amount of D9 I add to my blend adds back in that ol fashion grab you effect that HHC lacks ...
I've given up mostly on D8 in my blends now , may add some every now and then but HHC is the best one I've found as a main driver

  12. THCA becomes THC via the process of decarboxylization.

  14. It's the same thing, but get it quick.Because our governments , both state and federal are going to ban this eventually with renewed and written laws regarding hemp products. I thought the government we had now was for cannabis. They've done nothing literally nothing when they could have issued an executive order just decriminalizing it. Oh yeah , it's going to be rescheduled when the cows come home.

  15. If my state wouldn’t have had abortion to fight I think they would have long banned this stuff. Getting good smoke at a local store or thru the mail is just too much for prohibionists.

  16. I have a THCA question.

As I understand it, the THCA flower available for sale almost everywhere these days is chemically extracted and concentrated from legal hemp plants that contain less than 0.3% THC (delta 9) on a dry weight basis. This THCA concentrate is then sprayed on similar hemp flower which is federally legal to sell, hence one can buy huge quantities of this stuff cheap on the internet and it gets mailed right to their house. All of this is easy to understand.

Here's my question: What I DON'T understand is that so many places are selling THCA versions of every weed strain out there. Sour diesel, Jack Herer, Durban Poison, Gorilla Glue, Wedding Cake, etc etc. How? None of these strains have had enough delta 9 bred out of them to be considered hemp. And if they did, they wouldn't resemble their namesakes anyways. And the THCA versions never smell or taste like the strains they are claiming.

I've researched this question and looked up all the FAQs on sites selling THCA products. All of them seem deliberately vague on how they describe what the flower product one buys actually is. I think because they aren't eager for people to know the THCA flower products they are ordering aren't found in nature. So does anybody know what is going on with these alleged THCA versions of popular strains?

  17. .
Knowing and understanding are two very different things, it seems like you are confusing THCA with delta 8. THCA is just regular weed that was grown and processed in a way that prevents the natural THCA from degrading into THC.

Regarding your question, they are often harvested early, which can alter the terpene profile somewhat. More importantly, most of these hemp growers are in it for the money, so if calling something “sour diesel” will result in more sales, they will do so, regardless of genetic lineage. Same goes for many of the seed banks that noobs frequent.

  18. Here's a sample from a FAQ. Pretty much all the sites say the same thing stated in slightly different ways. This is specific to a THCA product, though the verbiage doesn't really differ from a D8 product:

    "Growing Methods
The cultivation of Ice Cream Cookies employs advanced techniques to ensure the optimal development of THC-rich flowers, emphasizing quality control and sustainability throughout the growing process.

One key element in the cultivation of Ice Cream Cookies is the precise monitoring of environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and light cycles to create the ideal conditions for robust plant growth. This attention to detail extends to the selection of premium nutrients and fertilizers tailored to meet the plants’ specific needs at each stage of development.

Rigorous testing protocols are implemented to monitor the potency and purity of the final product, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Sustainable practices, including water conservation and energy-efficient lighting systems, are integral to the overall cultivation strategy, aligning with the principles of responsible cannabis production.

    Extraction Process
The extraction process for Ice Cream Cookies involves meticulous methods to isolate and preserve the potent THC content, ensuring the retention of cannabinoids and terpenes for a full-spectrum experience.

One key technique used in extracting THC and other cannabinoids from the Ice Cream Cookies strain is solvent extraction. This method involves using solvents like ethanol or CO2 to dissolve the desired compounds from the plant material.

Once the cannabinoids are dissolved, the solution is filtered and purged to remove impurities, leaving behind a concentrated extract rich in THC.

Another common extraction technique is the hydrocarbon extraction method, which involves using hydrocarbons like butane or propane to separate the cannabinoids from the plant material."

I do understand that for harvesting THCA, the plants are harvested very young when the content of THCA is highest.

  19. They make it seem a lot more complex than it is, they grow regular weed just like any other commercial operation, with a few tweaks like regular testing to ensure THC compliance. THCA buds are not chemically nor genetically altered in any way, it’s as natural as any other domesticated plant.

The sellers aren’t going to straight up tell you it’s regular weed, because they’re operating through a loophole in the 2018 farm bill that basically legalized weed so long as the THC content is less than 0.3%.
THCA is the fresh acid form of delta 9, and is anti inflammatory, but not psychoactive until decarboxylated, typically by heat at the time of consumption.

  20. I did some more research on it and unless one is buying some mystery sachet from a gas station or wherever the majority is just regular strains harvested about 2 weeks early and maintained in an environment that doesn't allow decarboxylation to take place. The reason why it doesn't taste or smell like expected is because of the early harvest not allowing the terpenes etc develop. If one has a reputable source they can source a natural product. Thanks for helping me find the answers I was looking for.
