THC and Stems frozen treats!!

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by RfLx_Wrecked, Mar 4, 2010.

  1. Hello GC friends. Just wanted to give a quick tip for not wasting stems and getting the most of your crystals. Now I usually always save my stems, usually to save for cooking. Recently I wanted some nice kief to stack on my bowl so I decided to try this.

Now I hope you know not to keep bud in the freezer. The THC crystals will become very brittle and break off whenever you handle it, lowering overtime the potency of the bud. Now what I did was take all my leftover frosty stems and stuck em in a baggy and tossed it in the freezer. Every 30 mins or so I take it out and give it a good shaking, letting the stems rattle around and break of the THC crystals on the stems.

After a few times of this the powder started nicly forming on the bottom of the bag. The only hassel is sorting it out to collect it, but as far as not wasting those stems, check!

Give it a shot if you wanna harvest those crystals on the stems!

  2. better yet, put them in a container with a fine screen (and shake)

I made a very handy kif collector out of a plastic container that separated into 2 halves (sort of looks like an egg, it was filled with candy) and a silk screen. One half holds ground-up cannabis and screen is streched over it, the container is then closed and shaken vigorously. Kif collects in the empty (bottom) half of the container.

  3. "A" for creativity. lol sounds cool.:smoke:

  4. Yes that is better yet! No hassle with stuck crystals on the baggy. Now what did you use for your screen?
