Tetrahydrocannibinol?

Discussion in 'General' started by ganjashaman, Jan 8, 2013.

  1. Any chemistry buffs who want to explain why it's tetrahydrocannibinol, when tetra means 4, but the chemical formula for thc is C21 H30 O2? There is no 4 of any hydrogen molecule...

  2. because it has four hydrocarbon methyl groups perhaps (i know nothing about chemistry but it does have 4 groupings of CH3)

  3. it's funny because pterodactyl sounds like tetrahyrdocannabidol .
