When should I test the ph of my water? I'm running and Ebb and flow system. Should I adjust the ph of my water before or after I add the nutes?
Check PH of water before adding. If you are using reverse osmosis filtered water, or distilled water...the PH will be just about spot on match. Then add nutes. Then check the PH again for good measure.
when changing res add water then your nutes.when this is finished mix well.(unless you are using a 2 part nute solution in that case mix each part after adding to res)now ph your res.add up or down till the ph is correct!! if topping your res ph water then add!! hope this helps,been running a ebb and flow for well over 8 years and have had no trouble doing it this way!!
