are terminix guys sketchy around plants in sd outdoors. i only have four but there bushes. and there pretty far into flowering. coverings kind of an option but there stinky. moving them isnt a option though. i dont own the house, im renting so i did not call this guy over. i talked to him face to face this morning and made an appointment. only reason im saying this is because hes a older guy, that looks like hes not to weed friendly. how do these guys react, and whats there protocol. thanks guys.
I would cover them so he cannot see them. I would rather have him wondering that knowing for sure. Go to your nursary and buy a few bags of fresh cow manure. Spead that out under your covered plants where he will be working. Make sure he does not spray around your plants. Or tell him you covered your prized tomatoes. If he sprays around them you will be pist. From what your saying. I would go get a big tarp. Buy some cheap 1x2x8 boards. Make a fast quare frame over your plants. After your plants are boxed with the frame. Cover all sides with the tarp. Could be anything under there. The cow shit will mask the smell. Can you post a pic of your plants and area? I would love to brain storm and help you out. Were talking feedom here. I think all that read this thread should chime in with ideas. Basicaly this is not a joke you can say. Do you have funds to spare? Watch the guy like a hawk. You will be able to tell if he knows. Spy on him from vantage point if you can. When the hispanic yard crew works in my neighbors yard. I spy on them thru a hole in the fence. If they are talking about my garden they will show signs. If they look over I will pop up and let them know I know they know. What work will he be doing? Also to make a police report and the cops being able to get a warrent. The rat must SEE the plats. Thats for a warrent though. That does not meen the cops will not do a knock and talk and try to enter your yard with your permission. If the cops smell weed while doing the knock and talk they then get a warrent. So they key is to stop the guy from smelling and phisically seeing the plants. He can think all he wants. It's better than letting him know for sure in my book. If the cops do come to your house. Please make them get a warrent. Do not fall for there BS. You can pin all kinds of fake flowers from the $ store on your plants. If he notices the fake flowers he might get a kick out of it and let you know. Perhaps breaking the ice and trying to get his views and judge him. Have someone follow him after he leaves. If he is going to rat chances are he will drive around the corner pull over and call dispatch or the cops? Good chance anyway. Be proactive man. Call them back and keep delaying the opointment to buy more time. What else can you make or get that stinks to hog heaven? Again post a pic. I will be happy to tell you what I would do. Sold car the other day people came to get car it was parked right beside my babies (blocking view from road ) anyways that was on sat, well come Monday sheriff knocked on neighbors door said had complaint about weed being growed . Luckily had the car and gone to work ask my neighbor/landlord about a guy named Joe (wrong name )suppose to have weed growing .had wrong name and address . Got lucky wife is all tore up ! Damn noisy ass people leave my girls alone po po .
5150 is the homie. first off i would love to post pics of my grow but i dont have required equipment, nor the no how. but i like your idea of covering and its defenitely an option. i right now already have a frame, kind of like a house its a huge cube built with 2 by 4 and sheets of screening. i do this because here in sd, caterpillars will ruin a crop practically overnight. i found that this works the best to keep butterflies out. my concern with covering these girls are that moisture, humdity, and light deprivation, could result, due to all sides being covered. my plants are 4-6 weeks in flower varying with each plant. he said he was only going to be here for a hour, so i dont know. ive been doing my best to delay him from coming, so far i pushed him back to saturday. i will be as proactive as i can when he comes and you can count on my spying. im a medical pateint with all my papers to prove, so if a cop comes to the door and smells weed, wich he proboly will, can he come right blaming the plants for the smell, when really its proboly from smoked weed in the house. brainstormin, thanks again p.s. your set up kills it.
I would think probable cause would be the smell give them reason to look I don't know n south Dakota though .
If you legal then just block him from seing it. Oregon has no expection laws. The cops will try to say they need to expect your grow. Nicely tell them there is no expection laws and send them on there way. I keep a copy of my papers on the porch outside the front door. My goal here is to not have to open my screen door. If you do not have copies on the porch the cops will try to follow you while you get them. They will not let you go get a gun in cop thinking. If they come to my house I will tell them to get the papers from under the chair. Tell them there is no expection laws. Unless they have a warrent can you please leave my property. In oregon your plants must be out of normal view from the street or as you drive or walk by. Also if total Bullshit comes your way from the cops. No matter what they tell you never chop your plants yourself. Thats a trick they pull in Oregon. They make up BS laws and regulation and say you will go to jail unless you pull your plants. SO IF THEY WANT YOU TO PULL THE PLANTS THEN YOU KNOW YOU ARE FINE AND THEY ARE BS'ING. If they had you they would pull your plants in a heart beat. If you are notlegal. And a cop smells a grow. It is hard to get warrent on just that. But if they match the smell with say power use or get a dog to confirm the smell then warrent will be granted in most cases. It's just like a car. A cop can smell and think you have pot. If you say no to the search then they call the dog. With the dog confirmed hit they can search the car. But with a home. They need a warrent thru a judge. Go to your local card holders meetings. You will learns tons and learn how to deal with cops the correct way. And how to spot the BS. NEVER EVER LET THEM TALK YOU INTO PULLING YOUR PLANTS. THATS RULE #1 MOST PEOPLE HAVE PAPERS CLOSE TO THE GARDEN. THATS GOOD AS WELL. BUT THAT MEENS THE COPS GET TO FOLLOW YOU TO YOUR GARDEN MEENING THEY ARE ON YOUR PROPERTY.
