I searched these forums for any thread relating to Terence McKenna, and I did not come across any. Although, I might not have looked thoroughly enough, so if there is already a relevant thread - feel free to delete this one and direct me towards the appropriate thread.

For those who know who Terence McKenna is, I shouldn't have to explain. If not, then Google & Youtube are your best friends  :smoke:

  2. mckenna is a brother of mine. If he was still around, I would tell him some of my beliefs regarding nature and psychedelia and hope he starts a team with me

  3. The man was a genius. I recommend checking out the Psychadelic Salon podcast if you haven't already.

  4. If not for him i may never have tried marijuana. I give all credit to him for opening my eyes. And to think of all of the wonderful memories i now have, because of weed, because of him!

  5. Actually got one of his books today while out book scouting. The book was stuffed with a bunch of folded up papers and I looked at them and they are all papers having something to do with him, advertisements, fliers, order forms, bunch of things related to him in some way.

  6. Got turned on to his lectures by Joe Rogan - the JRE episode with Dennis McKenna was one of my favorites. Next best thing to having Terrence on the show.

I think that anybody who is the least bit interested in philosophy should check out his more pertinent lectures - the man had a very unique way of looking and thinking about the universe.

  7. Love and respect from me.

  8. Food of the Gods.. Such an awesome read at that stage of my life. I believe in McKenna, but he was a little extreme in some aspects.

    Deep respect.

  9. An awesome guy. I have listened to most of his lectures. He has definitely had an effect on the way i think. May he rest in peace.

  10. Terence mckenna ftw <3

I'm glad that my fellow blades knows who he is  :smoke:  I should of expected it, in a forum full of awesome stoners. The man has definitely changed the way I think about life in general; he's a true inspiration - a personal hero.

I think everyone needs to hear Terence; he was a genius. May he R.I.P.

This is a wonderful video, albeit a sad one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jpar50xrg18

  14. I remember some guy pretended to be him. He took it way too seriously and was annoying though.

  15. Always did enjoy his life outlook

  16. I disagree with almost everything this guy said, particularly his position on guru/teacher based religions

  17. haha cool dude, i sampled him in a one-minute ambient track of mine:

he was a very creative intelligent guy but his timewave theory was just fucked... IN MY OPINION. couldn't really take him seriously. however he had some serious balls to blow his fucking mind a thousand times over and over again. to become one with the psychedelic experience and truly expand the boundaries of consciousness

Terrance was a good story teller when your tripping hard yet his little brother is much smarter than he was.
Dennis never fell for the timewave he knew it was bunk from day one.
