Tents & Pots

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by IAMGROOT19, Jan 5, 2020.

  1. Does anyone know how many pots can fit in a 120x120x200 tent if i were to grow my plants.

It depends what u want? If its illegal where u are I'd try and keep pot numbers down just in case u get busted (so go for less in bigger pots or dwc). I've done 4 in dwc a while ago under a 600w hps with good results, before that think I done 9 in soil but had better results from the 4 in dwc. Not to patranise but you'll only produce what lumens are provided by the light, obviously a lot of other factors to consider aswell. more plants doesn't necessarily mean more bud! Many people have a misconception that they can cram loads in and get huge yeilds. The plants end up in tiny pots roots bound and stunted. But if u want to go for SOG then cool I guess.

  3. Also as a side note, what are u planning to do auto or pheno? Because personally think that is another factor to take into consideration. No point sticking 4 autos in huge pots and u won't be able to give them sufficient veg time. If u want to go with less plants in soil go with pheno, or if u still want less plants and go with auto do in hydro. If u go with auto in soil go with slightly higher plant count. but still refer to post above with law and lummens.

  4. As Trichome pointed out, what you do is dependent on what grow style you choose, and how much light you have.

Plain old dirt is likely to have the smallest yield, and the most problems, but is the easiest to start.
Dirt mixed with perlite or something else inert will do better, but dirt can have pests.
    Coco Coir better still.
Hydro has the best yield of all, and won't have the pest problems that solid media can bring, but hydro users need to be comfortable with meters and arithmetic.

Auto Pots and Hempy Buckets with coco are popular compromises between dirt and hydro.

I grow only autos in hydro, and my experience is that they need at least 4 sq ft each to do best.
Your tent would be perfect for 4.

Yeah I used to run critical mass auto in 4 bubble buckets under a 600w hps, and was very happy with yields. Then moved a few years back and now don't have the space so just run 1 bubble bucket under a 150w QB. Only done a few runs come out great between 5 - 6 oz dry but just done one and just killed it at 6weeks old! :frown: got spider mites(for the first time ever) Tried a few things and not much helped so was stunted as fuck. You win some u loose some so guna go to town sterilising then start again. Lost 6 weeks but gained some important knowledge on how to deal with them in future. Never stop learning.

  9. If you can afford them, full spectrum whitish LEDs will be much easier to deal with. Much less heat and probable better growth.

  10. That's pretty much what I Started with. I had the 120x120 with 600 w hps/ballast, filter and fan and that was is it, its probably the cheapest way to start. The lights will run quite hot so depending on ur climate u might want to look into hoods. I run quantum boards now and are a lot cheaper and cooler to run, but I'm assuming ur keeping to a budget? Don't forget about ppm/ec meter, ph meter and nutrients aswell. Buy the best ppm/ec meter u can afford (bluelab if possible) I've never really had a preference for nutes there pretty much the same.

  11. I have a 1.2x1.2x2m exactly the same set up but I had 2 blurples and have just upgraded to 2 240w Kingsbrite Quantum boards after realising lights arent gonna get me through flowering and I have 4 plants mate so I think you'll smash it with 2

  12. Thanks many Trichome..il take some notes & look into it..have been doing that lately..again..Thsnkz

Yeah that's fine dude, I'll give some advive on stuff that I'm familiar with. Also when u do start to grow if u run into any problems please give as much info as possible. Most experienced growers hate it when new growers have problems and literally just say "what's wrong with this" and post a pic. So if u do run into any problems please start by giving as much information as possible eg.
    Strain auto/pheno
    Medium
    Lights and hight
    Ppm/ec
Age of plant or stage of growth
    P. H
How ofter ur feeding if in soil
    Rh
    Room temps
And anything else u can think of.
People will be more willing to help and also be able to give u more accurate advice, it'll save a lot of time and questions. Also shows that uve got some respect and arnt just lazy.

  16. Right mate... something funny going on here cos we used to argue about shit and I swear if your were to scroll through my posts you’ll see exactly that written god knows how many times.

Its just a coincidence and the reason we didn’t like each other is because we’re so similar??
    Or I’m Robert Polson???
Aggghhhh the matrix is closing in !!!
    The lizard people were right!!

Haha fucked on blue cheese mate n just windin you up but seriously man. Why do we argue?
You literally give the same advide I do?
Think this shits like truth serum. Can’t shut up.:.: fuckfmd

  17. Maybe you've taught me something!

I draw a firm line between dislike and disagreement.
I like anyone who tries to help others, so I've always liked you.
I also like it (well, sorta) when I'm proved wrong, because then I learn something.
Friendly, respectful disagreement is how we uncover truth.
