I have a small 2x2x5 tent (20cf), my carbon filter is only 10" long, my exhaust fan pulls 195cfm (it's set on the lowest speed adjuster setting), my low end intake is passive (6" hole - no fan). My concern is that I'm overworking my venting fan and may burn it out too soon. Any info will help - pro or con. Thanx.
what... that fan is meant to run at full power, that's what it does. you're running it even lower, why do you think you're overworking it?
Because it's for a 19" carcoal filter, which would breath the way it's supposed to. I just thought a 10"er even at low speed would be too much back pressure or whatever it's called. It's like a human trying to breath through a straw - get it.....
eh, the increased load is negligible compared to the load you're saving by running lower, as well as overdrive buffer they build into the product cliffs: don't worry.
