so i have a no name tent and it has these holes for ducting and its pre-drilled for the metal flanges (metal rings the ducting fits on) my problem is that there is a 10" inch hole and im using 6" ducting. I have been using towels around the ducting to cover the space so i don't get light leaks but theres gotta be a better way to fix this and less ghetto at that lol. is there a retrofitted drawstring thing that most new tents have? or what are my other options?
That's a crazy big hole for a tent....weird. Anyways, just use duct reducers to go from 6" to 10".....air is flowing from smaller duct to bigger so no need to worry about restricted airflow. If you need it to, you can reduce it down to 6" once outside your tent
Or just buy a short section of 10" ducting and run the 6" duct inside of it by the hole and then crimp/tape em together
Yeah that could work but this cosmetic fix would be like 40dollars with the flange $15 for the tent and the reducer $20 and the meter clamps $5 haha I wanted to spend like 25 ha
