    what's better, 84 degrees at 600 watts or 78 at 400 watts?

    As long as the 84°F is right at the top of the plants, right where it's the hottest then running 600 watts is definitely the way to go

    thanks, that's what I've had it at, the temp is taken about two inches above the highest part of the plant

    Perfect. I often run mine up to 86, it's not perfect, but I have a ton of light so it's worth it
