I'm worrying about the temperatures in my grow room. My light is HID, so it gets VERY hot. I only have a few fans that don't work that great, and a ceiling fan a little ways away. I want to eventually get a squirrel cage fan to put above or next to the light to get a good airflow going but I can't afford that right now. I spent most of my money on everything else... I thought about putting some buckets of ice in there but that doesn't seem very feasable and I don't want the humidity to get too high. Any suggestions?
I think the ice thing you said would not be a good idea= way inefficient=a hassle= high humidity... Could you maby buy a out the window type ac to cool things down? Im not too sure hwat you could do. peace
My growbox is right by the window, I guess i'll just have to save up for a squirrel cage fan or buy some venting tube things to get the air outside... something along those lines...
wat numbers are we talking here I try to aim for less than 83 and 85 being the mids and 87 being the highs
I found some fans and I also found a garden thermometer. The thing now says 50% humidity and 74.8F. This seems a little too... good... so I'll check back in an hour or two and see how it is.
Do you mean what the light on? If so, I bought some 10 foot chains and hooks and chained them up. The ballast is standing on some metal box I found. My windows are open and the ceiling fan is going along with fans in the box. The temp is around 80 now, I think it'll be fine. I just need to keep the box open until I get a squirrel cage fan.
