54f is a little cold I would try to regulate the night temp up to about 65f-70f my plants are do great at 72f-78f...the heat is not affecting them at all in fact they have thrived since I heated my room.
Ya...I would raise those temps by 10 degrees F. I am at 75-83 lights on and 68-77 lights out. 54 is pretty cold which slows everything. Think tropical. The variation isn't such a problem. you just need to stay between 65 and 84 degrees F. 77 is what I hear is the magic number. Stay within 5 degrees and you should be good.
Your daytime temp is fine, though optimal would be 1-2C higher. You nighttime temp is low, should be at least 4-6C higher, would be fine up to the same temps as daytime.

my day time temps range from 73-80 degrees.i dont let my night temps drop below 60.when its really cold out i can keep the temp at around 61 or 62 when lights are off.i wouldnt go below that
Are you running a fan? If so, shutting it off during lights out can help keep some heat inside. Might be enough to get you back in the ballpark.
Got the heat up with a small oil-filled heater with thermostat. The operation is on an outside basement wall so it can get cold in the winter. I have noticed a considerable difference since the heat has gone up. I'm running 26C by day and 16C by night. (79F and 61F). BTW, I am using a 75W HPS and two 15W OTT lights. Its completely lined with aluminum insulation so there is little light loss. Those OTT lights work awesome! Also, I have a secret water source. Mountain water filtered down through some bogs and comes up through a spring. It is THE best tasting water on the planet. My wife put me on to it as she uses it to help boost her regular plants. Perfect PH and clean as clean can be. I won't say where I live but you won't find any purer. I'm gonna go have a glass right now.
