Temperature too hot?

  1. Just a quick question.

I know most plants like 75-85 temps. My closet is small, i leave the door open as often as possible and i use a 16in fan on the timer with the light.

Temps seem to be around 80-90 with the door open during the day, but at times it gets up to 100 or so.

Is this bad for the plants?

My 400w MH is about 24 inches or so above the pots, possibly more. Maybe 16 inches above the tallest plant top?

  2. Yea,thats very hot!! The room temps will get higher than all other rooms, mine are always 10F. higher W/O AC.

Sounds like you need some ventilation fans in addition to exchange cooler air and the CO2.;)

  3. They don't like it that hot, but they'll survive...
Just make sure you are able to control tepms when you start flowering or they will not flower....
85 or less should be fine...

  4. And try to direct that wind from the fan across the top of the plants between the lights and canopy.Without an exhaust you are really just moving hot air around but better to keep that airflow across the top at the hottest point.

  5. you can land a nice vortex fan on ebay for 80-90 bucks.

  6. If you had sup co2 you would have much better results as plants do better at higher tempts when co2 is boosted btwn. 1000-1500 PPM.

  7. Time to invest in another fan i guess, or a bigger one.

    Ill figure something out
