doing a indoor grow outdoor is not a option. But ambiant temp runs 80 - 90 degrees. Have a 600cfm fan in a 5x5 temp is 98 right now with 1000hps and expect temps to go up to 104-105 in the box by the end of the month. Doing 144 plants single Cola sog. Have a oscilating fan in the tent as well. We dont use a/c never have generator cant take it.
I say low 90's is ok, but higher is too much indoors. You can try it out and see if they can survive that temperature. Some strains can, some won't be able to. How about an air cooled hood? That will bring temps down a lot if you're not using one now. Just hook it up to your inline fan, and leave the other end open to exhaust the air in the room.
what kind of fan is on there? seems like you should be able to stay lower than that, you're probably not moving enough cfm
6" vortex no carbon filter pulling through the reflector. Have a 8" passive intake. Temps stay about 10 above ambient.
10 degrees above ambient temperature? That means your room/house is 95 degrees regularly? That's insane. Running in the low 90s works. I try to keep mine under about 85 all of the time. 90 is okay, and 95 is tops. If you're exposing your plants to 90+ all day, you're pushing your luck.
10 above ambient is about right, I dunno what to tell you other than get your house cooler if you're really 95 at night, sorry, you can't grow weed without some major work (ac etc)
Temp should be anywhere around 70-80 and humidity 45-55% 20% is way too low. Plants need humidity to grow. Not to mention, very high temps and low humidity is just begging for mites to come.
Its central FL lol its hot. At night it drops down to like 70-80 ambient
So why aren't you running your lights then?
So why aren't you running your lights then?
Generator tends to wake the neighbors lol
Is your hood hot,or even warm to the touch? I cant imagine why your getting high temps with that big a fan. Do you have ducting on both ends of your hood?I find theres no need, and I think that may be why my room stays so much cooler.Since I removed half the ducting, and just leave one end of the hood open. I think it just sucks most of the warmer air from the room as well.Instead of drawing air from elsewhere, and keeping a stale enirornment.Replacing with whatever fresh air is drawn in the room naturally. And i only have a 440 CFM. GL
Hood is fairly cool. Right now im staying about 10 above ambient. Days like today itll get 95 in the cabin highest ever was 98
70-80 with 20-40% humidity is the range for the vast majority of strains. Some strains may have more particular needs. Also many growers seems to believe that stressing the plant late into flower with inordinately hot or low temperatures, and then returning it to normal can force increased last-minute resin production. However others also say that low temperatures while causing the bud to purple, may also actually lower THC content, so take from that what you will.
I have alot of people coming to my thread asking about cooling there 1000w lights, Its no joke. This is why professional grows run there flower room with multiple 600w lights because there just run a LOT cooler. You need to Run a Inline fan inside the tent pushing the air, and one outside the tent Pulling the air. You are going to NEED a intake putting cooler air in the bottom of your tent, or a small AC in the tent. I know some will come and argue, and i assume for sake, but you have something cooling that BIG KAHUNA. Running 2x600w is cooler than a single 1000W, and for this reason will see alot of good growers on GC alone running 1200w grows. 1000W is to hot and messy, and cost to much to keep the grow cool. 1000W work well in open rooms IMHO.
Sorry to answer the thread question Most indicas run at 74-76 day with 69-73 night Sativas run 79-82 day with 73-76 night. Temps varry 1-2 Degree Par RH in flowering.
Solved the temp issue im misting water with the oscillating fan has had a great effect on temps. as well as put some more fans to circulate air in the room. Dropped temps to low 80's increased humity to about 35%
Just a update temp is a bit better ambient is 78 box temp is 83 humity is 41.
perfect
