  1. what's lowest temperature a plant can live through the nights?

currently we hit a low of 43 deg F last night, there's no heat to that part of the house but it's fairly well insulated.

  2. It gets well below freezing at night where I live. My plants are in a very poorly insulated part of my house. I count on my plants ability to withstand temperatures just a couple degrees above freezing. I time my light cycles such that the light is on in the coldest part of the night and that helps to keep them warm. I have a little electric heater I can use if necessary, but I have not had to yet. My plants are seemingly thriving under these conditions.

If you can keep air circulating from the heated part of the house into your room, you should be fine through the winter.

  3. i was thinking about that but.. could i change my timing like that? or would it be best to turn back an hour earlier each night?
