Temp problems for Attic Grows

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by GUlfster, Mar 31, 2005.

  1. through out current grow i have encountered many snags in growing in loft or attic area one is keeping temperature stable. with this being spring one of my hardships is keeping it cool during the day time, my temperature climbs to 100* F degreese and the highest its been 105* F i have tried Insulation white walls, and multiple fans. if this keeps going my leaves are gonna end up being CRISPY like some french fries (excuse me Freedom fries) i mist them every chance i get and i am asking all of my fellow growers that provide tips and suggestions can you help me. the funny thing about it my humidity is 60% when i check it at night but during the day it just sucks all that moister out. any help?

  2. hi gulfster
as a builder i know exactly how hot roofspaces can get in the summer, them tiles on the roof act like an oven.the only thing i can suggest is if its practical put air vents front and back of your attic to get a good airflow through there, its the only thing i know that will reduce the temps up there.
