Temp activated cutoff switch?

  1. Is there such a thing? Like a switch that would cut power to my cab at 100deg so my fuckin house doesnt burn down...

  2. Called a thermostat.

  3. makes more sense to have a thermostat controlled fan instead of waiting till u hit flashpoint then cut the power!! Cutting power in flowering is a daft idea unless u want a shitload of hermies!

ur plants will be dead at that temp anyway! so u might as well burn ur house down :smoking:

i use simple room thermostats on my fans - they cut in at 20C & will run all day almost - then at lights out, they'll run for 5 mins or so then stop the fans.

dead easy to wire up - connect the neutral to the fan as usual, but connect tthe supply live to thermostat common & connect the fan live to thermostat N/O (normally open)

Most don't need an earth connection, but if there is 1 there - use it ;)

  4. Exactly what I needed. thanks guys.
