Telling the Difference Between Vapor and Light Smoke?

Discussion in 'Vaporizers' started by 9D3, Nov 14, 2011.

  1. Hey everyone, I've got me a dumb little question.

I have a really cheap vaporizer ($29, from a local headshop). The tempurature setting is digital but obviously very inaccurate, so how would I be able to tell the difference between a good hit of vapor and light smoke from combustion?

I'm not using it for health reasons so it's not a big deal to me, but I'd just like to figure out a good "temperature" to set it at.

    Thanks :smoke:

  2. im new to vaporizers but i just think the vapor looks more like very light fog and smoke looks like light smoke. if that doesnt make sense...my bad :smoke:

  3. Taste is the biggest factor, for sure. What do you hits taste like? Are they fresh and piney and taste like the smell of the herb you put in? Or is it more a harsh, somewhat smokey taste?

Also, what is the color and consistency of the ABV? Is it a light brown, a dark brown, dark brown with black or all black?

  4. vapor = no combustion, which means no cherry on any of the buds

smoke = combustion, the buds ignite and turn red, or cherry

You will definitely know vapor by the taste over combusted nugs

that is about as simple as I can put it for ya
