Tell my parents

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by j0k32r0x, Sep 30, 2011.

  1. My dad already caught me and my cousin smoking, and he was not happy with it. I still smoke and my mom doesn't know. My dad believes that marijuana is worse than anything else. He, however, chews tobacco and tells me that I can die from smoking weed. Is there a way to tell my parents that I smoke?

My parents are REALLY Indian and they are really strict. How can I tell them that I smoke and they should not worry about me? I just want to smoke without having to worry about hiding this from them. I have never really hid anything from them and I don't want to start now.

    PLEASE HELP!!

  2. Well, if you're really set on telling them, try to educate them on marijuana. Show them The Union, or just list off some true facts about it that show it's not really as harmful as people tend to think. Also tell them that smoking is a choice you've made and what they say can't stop you from doing it, so it'd be easier just to come to terms with it.

  3. Your dad does dip and thinks weed will kill you...

    1. He's stupid
    2. He's ignorant
    3. He's not going to change his mind even in the face of evidence/studies
    4. He's stupidly ignorant

    tl;dr you're fucked, sorry

  4. I wouldn't try teaching them until I was out of the house, or like, the last day you're there, to be honest. He sounds stubborn if he thinks weed will kill you, but he chews on cancer.

Either way, if you DO, give him a copy of some documentary (I'd feel weird as shit watching it with them), or tell him you'll stop when he stops chewing tobacco, and "no, dad, that's not up for debate." It'd help if you look like Walter White from Breaking Bad, too.

  5. they are both "REALLY indian" lmao that made me laugh a lot.

Erm, educate them. preferably'come out' at a time when they would interpret your current life as successful.

  6. No offense bub, but you sound under 18.
If you're over 18, move out, and you don't even have to tell them.

  7. EDUCATE YOURSELF! Click that first link in my sig and start reading! The sections on "Safety as a Medicine", Amotivational Syndrome", "Mortality Rates" and such will give you actual medical studies to back you up. Good luck!

  8. Thanks guys is anyone here have Indian parents?
