*Tee's Cannabis Tea Recipe*

  1. This recipe describes how to make (1) serving of cannabis tea. Multiply accordingly to how much you want to make. This tea tastes great sweetened, because when you use quality bud, it tastes like that bud in a very good way, unlike many cooked cannabis edibles.

    -First, start with .5 grams of high quality bud, finely ground.

    -Add 1 tbsp. of unsalted butter to 4 oz. of whole milk.

    -Add the herb to the milk/butter mixture.

    -Then simmer the cannabis/milk/butter mixture stirring occasionally for 5-15 minutes (the longer the better) until the bud in the mixture is brownish in color.

    -Finally, add 4 oz. of boiling water to the mixture.

    *Sweeten if desired. I use brown sugar, and it tastes great.*

    Takes approximately 1 hour to take full effects, and can last anywhere from 4-8 hours.

  2. Is it just as if you'd smoked the cannabis or is it more of a body high or what? I've never really experimented with edibles, sorry haha

    Also, could you use stems? I get stems sometimes that have a lot of white crystally sticky goodness left on them and I'm starting to save them up, would it work if I just used .8-1g [of stems]?
     
  3. I would personally use more stem if you want a good strong high.

    And as far as the high....

    It's like being high. Depends on the strain I guess. I used Hindu Kush the last two times.

    Trying it out right now, but I don't have any bud (I'd be smoking it right now haha) so I'm using the stems I've saved up for a little while, about 2 grams of stems. I also don't have whole milk, so hopefully it will still work, I added a little bit more butter to make up for the lack of fat. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

    Oh yeah, it's working.... I ground up the stems really well, put them in the milk and butter and let that simmer for about 20 minutes. Then I poured that over some cheese cloth I'd elastic banded to the cup, to strain it. I used a spoon to squish out the left over butter. Put the water in and put a nice orange flavored tea bag and some honey. There was a lot of butter floating on top, but it was still delicious. Now I'm just totally sinking into my bed, it's so relaxing.
     
  6. i just made some on a slightly skewed recipe, due to only having stems and 2% milk.
    i used 3.5g of finely ground stems, but idk as i said with the stem quality, we shall see.
    it tastes alright, but iffy prolly due to the varied quality of the stems

    Im not a big fan of tea but im losing my voice, so im gunna pick up some goood shit and make this recipe, i might use a tad more butter tho, just to make sure the THC releases properly, I will post back with how it goes
     
  8. I'm trying this out.

    .7 finely ground middies simmering on low heat in a splash of half and half and two pates of butter. I'm going to leave it on the stove stirring occasionally for about thirty minutes. Will this be enough time for the lipids to absorb the THC?

    I really hope this works. I want to be comatose stoned for the rest of the day. I feel like shit. :(
     
  9. Sorry for the noob question, but will this stink up the kitchen or cookware? (Still living with parents). I've got a really sore throat and I don't wanna smoke and irritate it, so I just searched for tea recipes.
     
  10. It will smell like you just smoked most likely, but it doesn't really linger like if you had smoked. Turn on the fan above your range and you should be fine, unless your parents are home too :rolleyes:
     
  11. Can I make it with stems? and like put the stems in pantyhose to make it easy to get out later or something?

    And, if you put this in the fridge in a pitcher, would the thrichomes just sink to the bottom of the pitcher?

  14. Would this get you higher than canna peanut butter? I used a g for that and didn't get to high.
