  1. yea i just recently learned of these, and i was wondering are they mainly for hydroponic grows or do soil growers use them as well? if anyone could give me some info on these i would appreciate it, like which one i should get and what the measurements should be for seedlings and so on into the grow? they are to be used in conjunction with the ph meters right? thanks for any help...:smoking:

  2. What do tds and ec stand for?? Anybody??

  3. tds - total dissolved solids

    ec - electrical conductivity

    but that's as much as I know, it's all witchcraft to me - ask Num - he's a hydro-boff!

    lol

  4. ok ph meters are used in boyh dro and soil.
you can use a tds meter and ec meter to measure the "run off" excess water from your pots (soil) and adjust acordingly.(dont bother) just flush your babies every so often and you will be cool.

we use a ec/tds/ph meter in hydro to measure the exact amount of nutrients there are in the water!

  5. so is this the only way to know how much ferts u have in ur soil, is to use a tds meter and check the run off water? what about a fertility meter do these work? do they just measure how much n,p,k that is in the soil? doesn't seem very accurate tho? thanks for any help...:smoking:

  6. yes this is the most accurate way of measuring your nutes.
