Tbreak and Cold Sweats

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Foglers, Aug 14, 2012.

  1. I just started my break yesterday and last night has to be the worst sleep I've ever got.

I use melatonin on my breaks to help fall asleep but then the cold sweats are what keep me up.

Ill wake up every 1 or 2 hours just completely drenched and shivering, it's horrible.

Is there anything I can do?

  2. I never have withdrawals from weed when I go on t breaks...and I smoke ALL the time. Maybe you just can't sleep because you're thinking about it too much, read a book before bed or something, that might help. Or workout, by the end of a day for me I'm tired naturally and don't need weed...weed just helps make things more awesome :bongin:

    Falling asleep isn't the problem
Cold sweats are the problem ha.

I've never had a problem with cold sweats before until I took a break.

  4. dont take a break again

  5. Masturbate?

This never happened to me before. The only trouble I had was falling asleep during a break, but nothing some good old porn couldn't take care of.

  6. I wish I could believe you....

  7. Can anyone relate?

  8. I smoke pretty much all day, I have absolutely no effects when I stop. I used to, but the only way you're gonna feel like shit is if you're using large amounts on a regular basis for a while. That will happen with pretty much anything, not the same effects of course but you're gonna feel like shit.

If you learn to use less to get just as high you will find this to be a non-issue. Plus a lot of issues people have with stopping marijuana are because they aren't eating or drinking enough or taking care of themselves in a proper way and then equate the stuff that occurs from that as something to do with marijuana.

  9. Dude honest, I'm only anxious when I don't have weed...like if I'm ever dry I get very anxious, I hate not having weed around. That's why I grow. But as long as I have it around, a 2 week to 1 month t break every 4 months is not an issue. :bongin:

  10. The best thing to do is take weed completely out of your thought process. Don't think about it at all. Either that or keep reminding yourself how stoned you're going to get after the break and enjoy being sober for a few days. I wish you the best man.

  11. weed doesn't give people withdrawal symptoms...PERIOD.

marijuana has no physically addictive properties in it...PERIOD.

OP may have anxiety issues that weed helps keep in check, but weed is not the cause of OP's problems with cold sweats during sleep.

  12. Actually when I stop I can't sleep at all, I'll stay up until 5am. Before you say it's because you're stoned and fall asleep, no that's not the case. I can smoke in the morning and still fall asleep fine at night, so I believe that is a withdrawl symptom along with loss of appetite, and mood changes

  13. The evidence is against you buddy. Just because you don't get withdrawal symptoms doesn't mean they aren't real. many people do get withdrawal symptoms when they stop.

  14. Kind of bumping an old thread but,

I just found out why I had cold sweats haha.

I looked up side effects of melatonin and of course one of them was cold sweats.

Weird how i've never heard anyone else experiencing that side effect though ha.

But atleast now i know it's not the t-break

  15. Good to know...thanks for providing some closure :)

...and how much melatonin were you taking a night, out of curiosity?

  16. Just a 5mg tab.

I'm definitely getting rid of them though haha.

  17. This happens to me aswell. :/ You are not alone.

  18. For like 2-3 days I get real bad anxiety and cant sleep. The first night is always the worst though, like I'll go to lay down and i just think about random shit and never feel tired.

I always plan my breaks when I've got a day off because I can count on laying in bed awake for hours, it's shitty.

After about a week though I feel like a new dude, it's awesome. I'm on day 3 of 30 now, feelin good as shit.
