Targuard Question

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by MarryMeJane, Aug 9, 2012.

  1. Alright, had a quick question. Can you use a TarGuard filter/holder for a spliff?
I smoked cigs for a while back and towards the end I ended up using these little filter/cigarette holders called "Targuards." You can get em' at like CVS and Walgreens, places like that.
SO! These things were awesome, you just put your cig in em' and then dragged away. The purpose was to eliminate extra tar outta the smoke and they actually worked (you could see all of the shit build up in those things).
HOWEVER!! I was thinking if they'd also work in a spliff?!? I use Danish Export tobacco in my spliffs and, while delicious, the tar in unfiltered cigarettes or in spliffs is rather bad for your lung health. The filters/holders never had a physical filter but rather a series of spirals and crevices that would cause the smoke to ram into them as it was being inhaled. The contact between the fast moving air and the plastic walls caused some of the tar to get stuck to the walls of the filter/holder and that was that.
Now I'm not worried about resin buildup or anything from cannabis in my lungs. Fucking yolo on that one. However I am concerned about the tar from the unfiltered tobacco. So my question is do you think there would be a loss of resin and THC/CBD from these filters and do you think it's a good idea to use them to help with the unfiltered tobacco?
