I planted my germinated seed today and the taproot seemed stiff. Is it supposed to be this way? It was uncovered inside for 15 minutes or so but was still laying on a wet paper towel. Anyways I planted it and hopefully the soil will moisten it up or something.
yes its supposed to be kinda stiff, bc hence the name tap root, it has to tap/work its way through the soil, so it has to be strong
Keep the soil moist with a light spray. Try to avoid touching the tap root as much as possible, a light spray to clean it if need be before planting, face down, in the proper soil. You have your lighting setup?
Thank you, and It is an outdoor setup, I am LSTing and letting it grow until grow season for a large yield. Kind of a go gold or go home kinda thing. And the taproot is facing sideways because I let it grow too long, will this affect it all? I didn't want to try to bend it.
no, just make the hole big enough, & plant it root down about 1/4" deep & lightly cover w/ soil & keep moist at all times.
