talk to my doctor or go through friends doctor?

    ive smoked weed now for quite a while recreationally and recently ( about 3-4 months ago) i was in a truck related accident. well i was on a bike, and some dipshit in a 04 chevy 1500 quad cab wasnt payin attention pullin out of a devolopment and stopped in the middle of the sidewalk right in front of me, i fell under his truck and he ran over my legs and hip. so you can imagine what pains i might have even though by some miracle i broke no bones. but yea the doc gave me vicoden for a while but i hate takin it. the after affects bother me. and the pain isnt an everyonce in a while thing, i feel a pinched nerve in both my hips atleast a few times a day. should i just talk to my doctor or go through my friends older brothers doctor who gives out reccomendations? i live in california and im just kinda worried he wont take me seriously cause im 19.

    I would go to the friends doc. He will take you seriously, I mean I dont know about how docs go about age but Im sure if you are over 18 youll be in good shape for some MM.

    I would suggest going to a doctor that specilizes in medical marijuana. The main reason a lot of doctors don't write recomendations for marijuana is just because they dont have any expertise in the area so they dont want to prescribe you something they know nothing about.

    edit: For legal reasons though id suggest trying your doctor first, worst case scneiro he will just say no. I say to try your doctor first because if you ever had to go to court over something marijuana related it would look at lot better if your personal doctor who handles all y our medical needs was the one who wrote your recomendation. Try to avoid going to the doctors that give our recomendations like candy because it wont look as good in court and you probally wont even be able to get them to come testify for you in court since they have so many patients. Having no doctor to testify for you in a court case could be the deciding factor of you going to jail or not.

    it doesnt rly matter who u go through

    just go up to him/her and say that u want something that wont give u any side effects or have much chance of getting addicted and u read things that say marijuana helps and u want to get a medical card for it

    thanks for all the suggestions, ill talk to mine first. im not sure if my friends doc gives out like candy, from what my friend said the doctor is his brothers friends dad. but theyre in the san francisco area so who knows. and my doc seems pretty cool but its not like ive seen him much maybe 3-4 times in davis ive only had him for like a year cause my old doc moved but im sure its on my records i dont like takin pills cause i was on depression meds for while a few years ago and everytime ive had vicoden ive told him ive had problems, pills just dont sit well with my stomach.
