Taking weed back home from cali

Discussion in 'Cannabis Consumption Q&A & Tips' started by 420inAZ, Aug 29, 2012.

  1. Hello blades.

Soon, I will be making a road trip to sunny California with my family. I have a connection there, and will be able to obtain 150$ oz's of good quality outdoor. I plan on getting 1-3 ounces.

How would you guys recommend I take it back? I was thinking either one of those metal water bottles with the screw on plastic top with a rubber seal, or my trusty mason jars.

I will have my dogs in car, so they will be a nice distraction to the drug dogs that may be encountered at any border patrol checkpoints. Just want to be extra cautious to leave no smell. I, nor my family, are suspicious looking people in anyway (we're middle-high class white).

    Thanks for any input!

  2. Oh and also, should I choose quality over quantity? I could get 280-320 zips of top shelf medical. The thing is, I don't like dealing with my sketchy connects and I think 3 oz's of 80% quality is more worth it than 1.5 oz's of 100% quality.

The main advantage I see is I get to choose Sativa/Indica if it is from medical shop, while I get what I get from the 150/oz

  3. crossing international borders? forget about it

  4. State border. And only one state border, Cali-AZ. The reason I said border patrol is because in our shitty country, there are unconstitutional border patrol stops in certain areas with drug dogs. Not even on any sort of border

  7. Sorry to be the law, but you cant really talk about trafficking here. Mods, is this thread acceptable?

Like I was saying, my dogs are in the car, they WILL bark at any dog encountered. That should be a sufficient distraction.

I was hoping on tips to prevent any smell leakage. I think leakage should be minimum if I use mason jars, inside a computer case (soft material), inside a backpack

    Edit:

"There were also over 3,500 drug seizures at all southwest border checkpoints in 2008"

That's 10 per day. I would suspect most of these are due to Mexican drug smugglers with copious amounts. Like I said, I am an affluent white male, un suspicious. Those border stops are very discriminatory.

    Any helpful tips?

  9. the drug dogs are well trained for a simple distraction like that. if they could be thrown off so easily they wouldnt even use them

Just because you believe they will be distracted, doesn't mean they'll let you right through and apologize for the inconvenience. Dogs are there for a reason, if marijuana is near they WILL smell it. Especially large quantities. But hey man I'm just trying to help you out..

your issue is smell you say? Glass mason jars will do the trick. Virtually no smell

  11. Thanks for helping, I appreciate it. I was really hoping on being able to do this. You really think they'd be able to smell through mason jar? I know there are micro leaks, but with my triple layering I think it would take a little while. It's not like it would be sitting around for days at a time, just for 8 hours or so. I plan on washing the mason jars after I seal the weed in them.

  12. Backpack

  13. Yeah just put it in jars and hide it good..you won't have any problems..idk why people are making it seem like youre traveling with pounds

  14. Lol there's interstate dog check points? I've heard of no such monstrosity. I have never seen one in my everyday multiple state crossings, almost 4 times a week cross state borders. Well I do live in PA and usually are in NJ or NY or DE or MD. But never seen a dogs check point within the states, even when travelling to florida by car every year.

  15. You're a moron if you believe your dogs are going to start a distraction.
Drug hounds are extremely smart and are going to almost completely disregard your dogs probably, besides the fact that if the police were to search your car they'd pull your dogs aside.

Normally they will do a quick scan outside of the vehicle, your dogs are going to be of no distraction to them. It's their job to find drugs, there going to do it.

  16. I say don't do it, if you get caught your whole family will get fucked for drug trafficking for something you did

  17. I would call this 70% risky, if you have experience crossing any borders, unless you look suspicious they will not call for extra security or search dogs. In order for a search dog to find the stash it would have to come inside the car making everyone evacuate the car, they don't do this a lot and since your a white middle class guy with a family, they won't suspect a thing.

Oh and also if your super paranoid that your going to be stopped, sprinkle a little animal urine of the outside of your car and the search dog will be distracted because of animal territorial nature.
