Taking Cuban Cigars to USA?

  1. Hey Guys,

So I am heading over to USA on the 27th December. To see my girlfriend and her family over New Years etc.

I am coming over from the UK and have bought my Girlfriends dad some Cuban Cigars. There is only a pack of 5 but they cost me around £75.00 (Not that expensive given the fact they are Cuban).

Now I read somewhere that I cannot legitimately take Cuban Cigars into America and there are some hefty fines that come with this.

My question, is this in fact true? Are Cuban Cigars not allowed on American soil?

    Thanks guys!

It isn't the cold war anymore.

  6. You'll be fine. My ex's mom would bring them over from France all the time.

  7. Didn't they just lift the embargo in Cuba?

  8. ya but im not sure if its in effect yet or not

  9. I think you can bring them over legally, as long as it's not for sale or something.

The owner of my restaurant smokes them time to time. They're like 3 times as big as normal cigars.

  10. because of this you can actually legally bring back Cuban cigars now

  11. Hahahaha shit had me dyin
