Hey everyone. Id like to get some opinions on coverage for a quantum badboy t5 4ft/8 tube and a blackstar 500w led side by side. I have 16 ladies that are outside now and starting to flower. By 1st wk of oct I gotta bring them indoors. I have a 6x6 flower room set up. I haven't bought badboy t5 yet only have blackstar.. Will badboy/ blackstar be adequate for 16 ladies? I realize t5 don't penetrate canopy too well but I'll have sum cfl side lighting. HID lights rock but far too expensive to run (IMO) Plus we have a "smart meter" which paranoided the shit outta me, esp. When I'd look at bill every month and see the "other" section off the charts. That's a gud way to get caught!!! I was doing that for a yr. but have since switched to led's.. And hopefully T'5 pretty soon Peace out
In ebay there is a seller called hydro_crunch . They sell nice t5s for cheap! I bought a 4ft 6 tube for 128 after tax and shipping. It runs excellent and comes with veg bulbs. It's super bright and has two switches , one controls the two outside bulbs and one for the four inside bulbs (you can use the two outside bulbs for cloning as I was told they don't need too much light). It has the same build as hydrofarm a designer light but with a much better price tag. Ive had it running 1 month no issues and it goes great in my lighthouse hydro 4x2x5 (widthxdepthxheight) tent (made by Gotham hydro the makers of the blackstar LEDs) Now being a total gotham fan im looking into their LEDS and their new chrome series seems to be my next purchase . They have all the same features as the newer 2013 LeDs with a great price. Also Gotham has amazing customer service and will answer any questions you have without an automated bs answer u get from more popular places. Hope this helps check out their sight at Gothamhydroponics.com
