T5 Flouro SOG

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by ezbake, Oct 3, 2006.

  1. I am looking for anyone with experience using T5 flouros in the SOG method.

    My Plan:

    Light: 2 foot 8 bulb 192watt 16,000lumens
Plants: 4 plants--- 1-2 week veg, 45 day flower (1 sq foot per plant)

The plants will take up 2x2 sq foot so the light will cover every top of each plant.

    Will this be enough lighting?

Does anyone have experience with a similar setup?

My goal is 1oz per plant, does this seem reasonable?

    Thank you,

  2. I have never used the T5's but i just ordered some. Yes that is enough light, but the yield depends on the strain. Are you starting from seed or cloning?

  3. If you have a high yielding strain and you are starting from clones you probably still wont get an oz a plant, but its possable if you use co2 and keep the growing coditions perfect. You may want to veg a bit longer and use deep pots.

  4. The strain is Mikado it flowers in 45 days (6 weeks) and is a large yielder. On a seed page they have Mikado X BC Kush and they say "[SIZE=-1px]This needs to be vegged for about a week in a sea of green and will yield about 1.5 oz per plant." So I am assuming pure Mikado would be similar.

I will be starting with seed and then moving to clones.

The pots I was planning on using are 1 or 2 gallon pots.

My CO2 I wasn't planning on doing much with, it's a mini setup so yeah, maybe some yeast or w/e
