i have 6 seeds that are now 3" tall in fox farm ocean forest under a T5 Flouro with 8 bulbs(195watts) How close should they be from the top of the plants??? I have the light 9" from the top of the plants and my thermomoter is at the soil level reading an average of 84'F and 55% humidity. if i get closer im afraid the plants will be too hot.
you could prolly put them a bit closer.......oh and get a fan...and if you got one....get a bigger one.....
Use your hand to determine distance. Place your hand at the top of the plant and move the light, if it is to hot for your hand then it is to hot for the plant. It's 84 degrees in there? You might want to get a fan (if you don't already have one) to cool things off a little and get that temperature a little lower.
do you plan on doing all of your growing indoors under flouro's? because you're probably gonna need a lot more than 195w. from personal experience, you're going to need at least 1,000 watts, and they have to be the right spectrum.
